It is way too long to have been away from writing a little message. Much has happened, health and family wise, but now things are on the up swing and I able able to be more involved.
This summer has been ideal, weatherwise, and it has been such a blessing to welcome returning guests.
There is still a lot of summer to enjoy and the Fall is predicted to be spectacular.
I am hoping to welcome you soon to New Glasgow Inn, as you savour Fall Flavours.
Wow, it's the middle of September and August seems to have flown by. What a glorious summer we have had. I can't remember such wonderful weather in many years.
Fall is definitely in the air and surrounding us with the nippy breezes and the birds on the rapid fly.It must be Fall, as the pumpkins and hay bales have appeared at the gate and the mums are gracing the porch. Recipes for pumpkin pancakes with cinnamon syrup and and apple muffins are definitly on the menu.
Fall Flavours seems to be a huge success. I had three rooms over the weekend and they were all here from Ottawa and New Brunswick to attend the events. I think I may check out the lavender farm on my trip to Summerside this morning.
Well, it's the last day of July and it has truly been a wonderful month for our family. Ages 4-78 !! We were 19 in the house for 10 days and we did it all ! Loster til we burst, water pistol games and trips to the beach. The highlight for 14 of us was the fishing trip with Carl Gallant and Johnnie on the Bearded Skipper. Highly recommended. And the makeral was cooked within an hour of being pulled from the sea. Now I anticipate your arrival, so you do can love PEI as much as we do.
The warm days of summer are teasing us this weekend, and all we can do is enjoy the sun when it graces us. Friends, family and welocme visitors are on the way and we wait in anticipation of fun, food and fellowship, to say nothing of those lobster, swimming so unaware oif the fate awaiting !!! See you soon in New Glasgow !!
